We’re committed to providing a peaceful, intentional, and high-quality salon experience. These policies are designed to create a respectful, safe, and smooth environment for all clients. Please review before booking.

Booking & Consultations

Appointments

All services are by appointment only.

Same-day and after-hours appointments are available with an additional fee.

Travel services must be approved before booking to ensure availability.

All appointments must be booked under the name of whom is being serviced.

Booking multiple services for multiple people under one name, unless for an event, will cause your appointment to be cancelled at the full cancellation fee.

New & Transfer Clients / Consultations

All new or transfer clients are required to complete an in-person or virtual consultation for all services.

A form submission is an inquiry about services and does not replace the consultation.

Same-day consultations may be available if time allows, but must be scheduled with the service you are requesting.

This process helps us understand your hair history, goals, and any special care needs.

State board-required consultation questions will be asked; however, the notes remain confidential, and information is used solely to better cater to you during your hair service.

Existing clients must complete consultations for advanced care services, bridal, and event services.

Payments, Deposits & Pricing

Payment basics

  • All payments go through our booking app. Cash? Only on a case-by-case basis.

  • We accept most major credit cards and tap-to-pay.

  • Tipping is easy — cash or through the app.

Who gets discounts & how we verify

  • Seniors — discount available. Verification: show a valid ID proving age at checkout.

  • Military — discount available. Verification: show a valid military ID at checkout.

  • Students — discount available. Verification: show proof of A/B grades via verifiable transcript (printout or online).

  • Referral — discount available for both people.

    • Verification- the person referred must write your full name in the booking form under “How you heard about the salon.”

  • Birthday perk — one-time birthday-month offer (choose either a small dollar discount or a free add-on like a deep condition). Verification: show ID with birthdate during your birthday week.

  • Client frequency reward — discount available after your 3rd and 13th visit. This will be tracked in your client profile through our booking app.

Limit rules

  • One discount can apply to a single service based on the original service price.

  • Discount codes only work for the specific service or product they’re assigned to.

  • Stylists reserve the right to veto any discount at their discretion — if they think your hair needs a different service for the best results, they’ll let you know and help pick the right option.

  • Monthly promo codes must be entered at booking to be valid; codes applied after your appointment time won’t be honored.

  • Any sales, promotional events, or frequency rewards you buy are honored for up to one year from purchase.

Deposits & high-demand bookings

  • All appointments require a deposit.

  • Deposits go toward your total service.

  • If you cancel inside the policy window, deposits are non-refundable (a refund will be issued minus the deposit if applicable).

  • If the deposit is more than the service performed, we’ll refund the difference upon request.

  • Refunds are processed through our payment processor and initiated at the end of the business day.

Cancellations, No-Shows & Overlapping Appointments

Timeliness

A 15-minute grace period is given for late arrivals. Traffic can be a bit intense due to the downtown location, so this grace period works both ways.

After 15 minutes, your appointment is marked as a no-show, and a fee will apply. See policy about stylist cancellations for more information.

If you arrive after the grace period, the late fee will be charged.

Same-day rescheduling is treated as a late cancellation.

Failure to pay late/no-show fees may result in being blocked from booking.

No-Call / No-Show Policy

The fee is 100% of the cost of your service.

One no-call/no-show will result in being blocked from future bookings.

Communication is appreciated and helps maintain a respectful schedule.

Cancelations / Last Minute Appointments / Outside of Regular Hours

Cancelations are honoerd without a fee if cancelled at least 24 hours before the appointment start time.

Appointments made 24 hours or less than the appointment time will incur Last minute fee of $10.

Services must be completed within 1 hour after business hours close.

The outside of business hours fee is $30 and will be charged to any appointment started or completed outside of business hours.

Overlapping Appointments

Sometimes, services run over due to unexpected client needs. Your patience is appreciated.

You may be rescheduled later the same day or the next day, depending on availability, or asked to wait up to 15 minutes inside the building but outside the suite.

To maintain flow and space, you may also be asked to step aside so the next client can begin.

This is due to limited space, and late cancellations due to overlaps will still incur a fee.

Stylist Cancellations

At Nice Locs, we deeply respect your time and are committed to maintaining reliable scheduling. However, in the rare event that the stylist must cancel an appointment:

Cancellations only occur due to medical or personal emergencies.

In such cases, the appointment will be rescheduled to a later date based on mutual availability.

If the client chooses not to reschedule and cancels the service altogether, they will lose the deposit and incur the cancellation fee.

We appreciate your understanding when life happens. These policies ensure fairness for both client and stylist in every situation. As a thank you, a discount of $5 will be given for the inconvenience.

Stylist reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for behavioral reasons or hair health concerns (e.g., severe scalp conditions or head lice).

Salon Environment & Expectations

Peaceful Space Policy

No guests or children are allowed due to limited space.

The stylist reserves the right to end a service at any time to protect the peace and professionalism of the environment.

A safety liability waiver will be requested tobe signed if you go against this policy.

The salon is not responsible for accidents if a child is brought in against policy, and you will be responsible for any damages they cause.

The salon is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items (like jewelry removed during a service or clothing stained by color if a gown was provided) or any parking tickets incurred due to improper parking.

Salon parking in the parking deck is free with registration of the license plate and is required to be re-registered every three hours. Salon is not responsible for this registration.

Wellness Policy

If you’re feeling unwell or have been exposed to illness, please reschedule.

Wearing a mask is permitted, but the stylist must be made aware of the need for the mask.

Mask wearing does not override illness, and it must be discussed with the stylist to keep the salon environment safe and disinfected.

The stylist reserves the right to refuse service if signs of illness are observed.

Hair Prep Policy

Please arrive with all previous styles fully taken down.

Avoid shampooing your hair before services, as it can cause dryness and irritation.

Any extensions not provided by the salon must be dropped off at the salon the day before.

Failure to do so may result in rescheduling or additional charges.

If hair is in need of deep cleaning or detox, please allow the salon to do this to avoid causing an unwanted reaction or improper completion.

A special one-time discount or free add-on (like a deep condition) during their birthday month.

For color or advanced care, include a line stating that a patch test may be required 24–48 hours before the service to ensure no allergic reactions.

Style Selection & Creative Expression

Inspiration Photos & Freestyles

Bring photos of your desired style.

If no photos are provided, your stylist will freestyle a style that suits you.

Hair jewelry, accessories, and custom products are available for purchase.

Photography & Social Media

Photos or videos may be taken before, during, or after your appointment for promotional use.

If you prefer not to be photographed, simply let your stylist know at the start of your appointment.

Long-Term or Multi-Session Services

Services that span multiple appointments must be paid for at the beginning of each session.

Please respect service windows, as appointments may not exceed the scheduled time.

Refund Policy

All services are non-refundable.

If you’re unsatisfied with your result, please notify the salon within 48 hours.

Reasonable adjustments will be made at no extra cost during that window.

An appointment must be made for readjustments.

No adjustments will be made after 7 business days.

All refunds must be processed through prossing system and are done at the end of the business day.
