These terms apply to all gift certificates purchased through Nice Locs. Gift certificates are intended to provide flexibility while ensuring services are delivered safely, appropriately, and within salon standards.

General Use

• Gift certificates may be used toward eligible services offered by Nice Locs.

• Gift certificates hold a monetary value, not a guaranteed service.

• Services are subject to:

  • Availability

  • Hair and scalp eligibility

  • Required consultations

If a service is not approved, the certificate value may be applied to an alternative eligible service.

Redemption & Scheduling

• Gift certificates must be redeemed by the recipient.

• Appointments are scheduled based on availability.

• Gift certificates do not guarantee priority booking or extended hours unless explicitly stated.

Clients are responsible for booking services before expiration.

Expiration

• Gift certificates expire.

• Expiration dates are listed at the time of purchase.

• Unused balances after expiration are forfeited.

Expiration extensions are not guaranteed.

Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable

• Gift certificates are non-refundable.

• Gift certificates may not be:

  • Exchanged for cash

  • Transferred to another person after redemption has begun

  • Applied to past services

Once a gift certificate is redeemed toward a service, any remaining balance remains subject to the original expiration.

Service Pricing & Additional Charges

• Gift certificates apply to the value of services, not locked-in pricing.

• If service pricing changes, the recipient is responsible for any difference.

• Add-ons, upgrades, repairs, or extended service time are billed separately.

Consultations & Service Approval

• Some services require:

  • A consultation

  • A patch test

  • Additional approval

Gift certificates do not waive consultation or eligibility requirements.

Missed Appointments & Cancellations

• Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in:

  • Deduction of service value from the gift certificate

  • Forfeiture of the appointment value

This applies even if the service was not completed.

Policy Violations

If salon policies are violated:

• A fee may be applied, or

• The client may be asked to leave, depending on severity.

If asked to leave:

• The appointment is charged as if completed

• The gift certificate value applied to that visit is considered used

Repeated or severe violations may result in loss of remaining gift certificate value.

Results & Expectations

Gift certificates support access to services, not guaranteed outcomes.

Results vary based on:

• Hair type and condition

• Service eligibility

• Maintenance and aftercare

Specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Lost, Stolen, or Misused Certificates

• Gift certificates are treated like cash.

• Nice Locs is not responsible for:

  • Lost certificates

  • Stolen certificates

  • Unauthorized use

Client Agreement

By purchasing or using a Nice Locs gift certificate, the purchaser and recipient acknowledge that:

• Gift certificates expire

• Certificates are non-refundable

• Services remain subject to approval

• Pricing differences may apply

• Missed appointments may reduce the certificate value
