Lil' Crowns: Professional Loc Care for Children

Lil Crowns services are designed specifically for children and teens, providing professional loc care in a patient, supportive, and child-friendly environment. While the techniques used may overlap with adult services, caring for young clients requires additional time, flexibility, communication, and supervision, which is reflected in the service rate.

This category exists to ensure:

A calm and age-appropriate experience

Gentle pacing with breaks as needed

Clear explanations that build trust and confidence

Respect for a child’s comfort, attention span, and sensory needs

Because of the additional care required, Lil Crowns’ services are priced at a higher rate than comparable adult services. Childs gardian must be presnt durring service.

Lil’ Crowns Servcices

  • This consultation is required for all Lil Crowns services and must be completed before booking any maintenance or establishment appointment.

    This consultation is used to:

    • Assess hair and scalp condition

    • Determine loc type and size (traditional vs micro locs)

    • Confirm age-appropriate services

    • Select the appropriate maintenance method

    Consultations do not include shampoo or maintenance services.

    A parent or legal guardian must be present for this consultation.
    All Lil Crowns services require completion of this consultation prior to booking.

  • Routine loc care for minors with locs, maintained using palm roll techniques.

    • Shampoo is included

    • Includes basic maintenance and age-appropriate styling

    • Best suited for larger loc sizes

    Services are adjusted based on the child’s tolerance and comfort.

  • Routine loc care for minors whose loc systems are maintained using interlocking methods.

    • Shampoo is included

    • Maintenance method selected based on loc structure and stage

    • Suitable for traditional or smaller loc systems when appropriate

    Services are adjusted based on the child’s tolerance and comfort.

  • Routine care for minors with micro loc systems, which require higher precision and density control.

    • Shampoo is included

    • Designed for higher-density loc systems

    • Maintenance performed conservatively and intentionally

    Micro loc services are only offered to clients 13 years and older.
    Services are adjusted based on the child’s tolerance and comfort.

  • Targeted repair for minors addressing minor slippage, weak points, gaps, or early-stage damage.

    • Shampoo is included

    • Repair scope is limited and age-appropriate

    Advanced corrective or restorative services are not offered in Lil Crowns.
    Repair services are only available to clients 13 years and older.

  • Extension services in this category are limited to adding length only and are offered exclusively to older teens.

    • Extensions are not used for starter establishment in Lil Crowns

    • Extensions are only offered to clients 15 years and older

    • Extensions are for length enhancement only

    All extension services require consultation approval.
