Hair Growth Restoration & Scalp Care Aftercare

After Service Care Education | Nice Locs | Atlanta

What You Just Received

You received Hair Growth Restoration & Scalp Care services, which may include scalp treatments, detoxification, stimulation, and targeted therapeutic support designed to improve scalp health and encourage optimal growth conditions.

These services support the environment in which hair grows. Results depend on consistency, lifestyle habits, and follow-through.

Restoration is a process — not a one-time event.

The First 72 Hours

During the first 72 hours after your service:

  • Avoid washing unless specifically instructed

  • Avoid heavy sweating, steam, or excessive heat

  • Do not scratch, pick, or aggressively massage the scalp

  • Avoid tight styles that restrict blood flow

  • Sleep with a satin or silk scarf, bonnet, or pillowcase

This allows the scalp to settle and respond to treatment.

Daily Care

Between appointments:

  • Keep hands off the scalp as much as possible

  • Be gentle when styling or separating hair

  • Avoid repeated tension in the same areas

  • Protect hair during sleep and rest

A calm scalp heals and responds better than an irritated one.

Cleansing & Moisture

  • Shampoo only as directed by Nice Locs

  • Use gentle, scalp-focused cleansing

  • Avoid harsh scrubbing or scratching

  • Rinse thoroughly to remove residue

  • Ensure hair and scalp dry completely

Moisture & Topical Care

  • Use only recommended products

  • Apply treatments exactly as instructed

  • Avoid layering oils, creams, or home remedies

  • More product does not equal better results

Overuse can clog follicles and reverse progress.

What to Avoid

  • DIY scalp treatments or remedies

  • Frequent product switching

  • Heavy oils or grease on the scalp

  • Tight styles that pull or restrict circulation

  • Ignoring lifestyle contributors (stress, diet, tension)

  • Allowing unapproved products or services on the scalp

Scalp restoration fails most often due to inconsistency and interference.

What’s Normal

The following are expected:

  • Mild tingling or warmth after treatment

  • Temporary sensitivity

  • Gradual changes over time, not overnight

  • Periods of shedding as growth cycles rebalance

Healing and growth are not linear.

What’s NOT Normal

Contact Nice Locs if you experience:

  • Burning, stinging, or severe itching

  • Redness or irritation that worsens

  • Open sores, scabbing, or swelling

  • Sudden or excessive hair loss

Do not attempt to self-diagnose or self-treat.

When to Book Again

Hair growth and scalp restoration require consistent follow-up.

Scheduling is based on:

  • Scalp condition

  • Hair density and shedding patterns

  • Treatment response

Most clients benefit from regular sessions over several weeks or months, as advised by your stylist.
